Lever/Lever
A lever is a solid bar that is pivotally positioned around a point (known as a fulcrum). When you apply force towards the end, the fulcrum will move in the direction of the force is applied. Levers can have different effects based on how the force is applied. For example, a class 2 lever is inclined to turn in the opposite direction as the force of effort is applied (like a teeter-totter). The forces created when you push on the handle of a front door can result in rotational effects similar to those.
However, levers don't create energy. They just multiply the force you exert by changing a small amount of effort over a large distance into a larger amount of force that is applied over a smaller distance. This allows you to complete more work in less time, which is why levers are commonly used to lift heavy objects or moving large quantities of cargo. This is also the principle behind levers found in many everyday tools such as crowbars, fishing rods claws for hammers, and even your legs when you sit on the hand brake of your car.
Lever/Pad
Lever pad handles, also referred to as upvc door handles feature levers on both sides to operate the multipoint locks. They come in a variety of designs and finishes and are suitable for a variety of materials including UPVC, Aluminium & Timber doors. They are sold in pairs for the inner and exterior door, with spindles and screws included. They are available in unhanded and handed versions to suit different users.
They are commonly used in new constructions and are fitted to replace doors made of upvc. They are usually operated by lifting the levers to throw out all of the multipoint locks, and turning the key to close / unlock. They provide additional security in comparison to standard lever door handles since the locking mechanism can only be gained via the inside using a key in the event that the door is locked.
They are not as secure as a cylinder bolt, but are a reasonable alternative for a home with more security. The only drawback is that they do not provide the same level protection as a cylinder lock, and so don't prevent external access to your home if the door is left open.

A snib button is extremely useful, particularly in homes where it's essential to ensure privacy or security. You can use the snib feature to prevent your guests from entering the home until they are ready. This type of handle can also be put in on doors inside, such as those in bedrooms where you want to restrict access from outside.
In some instances there are instances where snib buttons could cause problems, particularly if you have older locks or doors that are bent. If the snib button was accidentally pressed or by someone who isn't familiar with it, your door may shut and lock you out. Most of the time, you can gain entry by knocking on the door frame or letterbox, but this isn't ideal.

Lever/Moveable Pad
This popular handle style is used for front doors. It has the advantage of preventing the door from being opened without the key from outside when the lock hasn't been deadlocked. This is achieved with a 'pad-shaped' external handle that locks into the gap between the handle and the lock case.
This type of handle is designed to fit uPVC doors that are fitted with multipoint locks which operate via a split spindle operation. This kind of operation requires the internal lever handle and the external pad handle to be mounted on the same lock case. This can be a simple change from the current uPVC handles but it may also involve changing the lock case or a brand new set of handle furniture to allow for this added functionality.
These aluminum levers and movable pads door handles are suitable for use on uPVC and feature an unmaintained slide bearing. They also come with fixing lugs, spring cassettes, and an unstick slide bearing. They feature a euro-style cut out and are fitted to a wide range of uPVC and timber doors.

Lever/Moveable Snib
The lever/lever handle is one of the most well-known types of upvc door handles and comes in a range of designs. It has two moveable inline handles and is lockable with either a key or thumbturn cylinder inside. Pad handles can be used as an alternative to lever/lever handles. It consists of either an adjustable or fixed pad which can be used to operate locks. These Fullex handles feature a spring lever pad and a snib which can be turned on to secure the latch.
